Dr. Mhair S. Dekmezian is board certified in anatomical & clinical pathology and hematopathology by the American Board of Pathology. After earning a degree in Biochemistry and Cell Biology in 2008 from Rice University, Dr. Dekmezian received his medical degree from Baylor College of Medicine in 2013. He then completed his AP/CP residency and hematopathology fellowship at Baylor University Medical Center in Dallas, TX. Dr. Dekmezian joined the Sagis Diagnostics team in March 2021 as an experienced Pathologist and Hematopathologist.

In addition to working with Sagis Diagnostics, Dr. Dekmezian continues to serve as Medical Director for several laboratories across Texas. He also holds prior experience as a Hematopathologist and Medical Director at Alliance Diagnostics in Houston, TX, as well as a Pathologist and Hematopathologist at HCA Houston – Clear Lake and Mainland hospitals.

With extensive pathology/hematology research training and multiple publications, Dr. Dekmezian still finds time to enjoy computer science, general aviation, and swing dancing. He also speaks fluent Western Armenian.
