Dr. Howard Gerber is a board-certified Dermatologist and Dermatopathologist affiliated with Baylor St. Luke’s Medical Center. He received his medical degree from the University of Texas Medical School in Houston and has been in practice for over 25 years, caring for patients with a wide variety of skin conditions.

Dr. Gerber completed his B.S. in psychology from Duke University prior to medical school at the University of Texas Medical School in Houston. He completed an internship in transitional medicine at the University of Arkansas for Medical Sciences. He went to the University of Oklahoma Health Sciences Center to complete his dermatology residency, followed by a fellowship in dermatopathology.

Since 1992, Dr. Gerber has practiced both dermatology and dermatopathology. After a few years of practicing in Oklahoma, he returned to Houston and established Bellaire Dermatology with Dr. Teller in 1997. In addition to seeing clinical patients, he has served as a consultant dermatopathologist to various clinical laboratories in the Houston area. His areas of interest include autoimmune disorders such as psoriasis and lupus erythematous, pediatric dermatology including acne, and early detection and management of skin cancers including melanoma.
