Dr. Kudakwashe (Kuda) Maloney is board certified in dermatology and dermatopathology by the American Board of Dermatology and the American Board of Pathology. She earned her medical degree in Allopathic Medicine from Yale University School of Medicine in 2009. She also holds a Master of Philosophy and Biological Sciences from the University of Cambridge. Dr. Maloney completed a clinical residency in general medicine-dermatology at Massachusetts General Hospital. By 2015, she had completed her clinical fellowship in dermatopathology at the University of Texas MD Anderson Cancer Center.
After training, Dr. Maloney remained in Houston and attained dual appointments as a staff Dermatopathologist at the University of Texas - McGovern Medical School and a Clinical Assistant Professor of Dermatology at the MD Anderson Cancer Center Department of Dermatology and remains actively involved in resident teaching.
Over the years, Dr. Maloney has presented at various seminars from Harvard Dermatopathology Board Review and the American Academy of Dermatology. She has been uniquely involved in the HAL Community Education Series on Skin Cancer and MD Anderson’s “Cancerwise” Program, as well as a host of peer-reviewed publications, research, diagnostic articles, and book chapters. Dr. Maloney has been involved in telemedicine both locally and internationally.

Dr. Kudakwashe Maloney has performed research in such topics as immunity and tolerance (Langerhans cells), perianal giant condyloma acuminatum, cutaneous adnexal tumours, melanocytic lesions, and adenocarcinoma.
